Nasal Precautions

1. No lifting greater than five pounds 
   
2. No straining 
   
3. No bending 
   
4. Sneeze with your mouth open 
   
5. No nose blowing 
   
6. Sleep with your upper body elevated 
   
7. Do not bend over to tie your shoes - Use slippers or loafers 
   
8. Cool diet - Liquids or food at room temperature or cooler
   
9. Use a cool mist humidifier with a filter 
   
10. Saline mist nasal spray - Two sprays to each nostril four times each day
