Certified Physician Assistant - Kristin G. Hoopes, PA-C
Certified physician assistant, Kristin G. Hoopes, is an important member of the team of clinicians at Virgin Islands Ear, Nose & Throat. Kristin assists Dr. Shapiro in providing an outstanding level of care to both adult and pediatric patients.
Kristin has practiced as a licensed physician assistant since 2004. She is highly experienced at taking detailed patient histories and is certified to examine and diagnose patients with common ear, nose and throat conditions. Kristin is also trained to perform many in-office procedures.
Patient education is another area on which Kristin focuses. She prepares and procures materials, and counsels patients about preventative solutions that can address their ear, nose and throat issues.
Kristin attended Brigham Young University where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. Kristin later enrolled in a graduate Physician Assistant Program at George Washington University. Graduating with honors, she earned a Master of Science degree in Health Sciences.
Prior to her relocation to St. Thomas, Kristin practiced as a physician assistant at a busy ear, nose and throat practice in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. During her two years with the practice, she gained valuable clinical and practical experience that she will now use in her work with Virgin Islanders.
Kristin is enjoying her new home in the Caribbean and looks forward to providing attentive and responsive care to the patients at Virgin Islands Ear, Nose & Throat.
